Privacy Policy
1. What the tool does
The tool uses Meta’s official Threads API to publish operator-approved posts, retrieve the operator’s posts and performance metrics, and, when Meta grants the required permission, search public Threads content by keyword for topic research.
2. Information processed
Depending on the permissions granted through Meta OAuth, the tool may process:
- Account information: Threads user ID, username, profile name and profile picture URL.
- Authentication information: the Threads access token issued by Meta. The tool never receives the operator’s Meta password.
- Owned content: posts, replies, media metadata, permalinks and publication timestamps from the operator’s Threads account.
- Owned-account insights: views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, shares, link clicks, follower counts and other metrics made available by the Threads API.
- Public Threads content: public post IDs, text, usernames, permalinks, timestamps and related public fields returned by authorised keyword or profile-discovery endpoints.
- Operational records: approved draft text, publishing receipts, schedules, error logs and analysis generated from the data above.
The tool does not request Meta passwords, private messages, contact lists, precise location, payment information or advertising profiles.
3. How information is used
- Publish only posts explicitly approved by the operator.
- Measure the operator’s content performance and compare posts at similar ages.
- Test posting times and improve future content planning.
- Identify relevant public topics and keywords after Meta authorises the necessary access.
- Diagnose failed API requests, prevent duplicate publishing and maintain service security.
Threads data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to build profiles about private individuals.
4. Storage and service providers
Access tokens and operational files are stored on operator-controlled systems with restricted access. Performance snapshots may be stored using Cloudflare infrastructure. Selected post text, public content and metrics may be processed by contracted AI service providers solely to generate drafts, classify topics or produce analysis. Providers receive only the information needed for those tasks and are not authorised by the operator to use it for advertising.
5. Retention
- Access tokens are retained until they expire, are revoked, or are deleted by the operator.
- Owned post records, publishing receipts and performance metrics are retained while needed for longitudinal analysis or until the operator deletes them.
- Cached public-topic research may be retained for up to 90 days for trend comparison and deduplication.
- Security and error records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to troubleshoot and protect the tool.
6. Sharing and disclosure
Information is disclosed only to Meta through its API, infrastructure or AI providers required to operate the tool, or where disclosure is required by law. The tool does not sell personal data.
7. Security
Reasonable technical safeguards are used, including HTTPS, restricted credential files, least-privilege access and separation between draft approval and publication. No system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Control and deletion
The operator can revoke the app in Meta’s Apps and Websites settings, allow the access token to expire, or request deletion of stored Threads data. See the data deletion instructions.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when the tool’s permissions, data handling or providers change. The current version and update date will remain available at this URL.
